What is Parivartan Empower Against Abuse about?
Parivartan - EAA is a program in India designed with the purpose of reducing sexual violence and abuse.
The program proposes to deliver an immersive and experiential curriculum on gender sensitization to adolescents. The aim is to empower the new generation against abuse and to become adults that stand up for gender equality, respect, and a rejection of sexual violence. For this initiative, we are working with multiple curriculum partners and NGOs/individuals as our implementation partners. Our implementation partners assign facilitators who will engage adolescents in schools and communities and deliver the curriculum to help shape mindsets.

At Parivartan Empower Against Abuse, we are dedicated to step up our efforts in preventing sexual violence and abuse. While we are starting with shaping healthy mindsets in children from an early age, alleviating this societal scourge will involve support from parents, teachers, mentors, role models and the entire community. Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.

With the Parivartan Empower Against Abuse gender sensitization curriculum, we have an immersive interactive curriculum that encourages children to explore and internalize healthy attitudes toward gender norms, sexuality, respect, equality, relationships, and a rejection of violence. Approach
Our initiative entails partnering with gender sensitization curriculum providers that provide trainers to train a pool of facilitators. We are also partnering with NGOs working on similar causes, as well as passionate individuals to build a pool of facilitators. During implementation and beyond, these facilitators will work with adolescents in communities and schools. We will measure the efficacy of our programs through impact metrics. Beyond the project, we plan to scale up by expanding the NGO partnerships, building volunteer programs, creating local chapters, and working with governments on including in school curricula.
