Changing Mindsets: CHSJ's Impactful Sessions on Gender Equality in India

Our partner CHSJ continues highly engaging and impactful sessions with kids to help shape mindsets, facilitators guided and led by the dynamic and extremely dedicated Mahendra Kumar ji.

Some narratives we heard from the CHSJ team:

• A minor girl's wedding was being planned so other girls have decided to have a conversation with the parents to not get her married before 18 years.

• A session was ongoing and some bystanders came to talk and said that the facilitators were teaching wrong things, that girls are meant to do cooking and cleaning. The students themselves said times have changed and they should change too.

• Moms would come to watch over what the facilitators had to say and after a few sessions they talked about how sons in their family had started doing house work, so they were happy with the positive change brought about.
